We all can differ in various aspects, but there is one thing that binds us together - a common love for food. And who does not love to love good food? At home, the most discussed topic is, ”What Are We Cooking Today?”. While planning for a trip, we all make sure to prepare an itinerary of all the good places to eat around during the trip. For any occasion, deciding upon where to celebrate is important. This is when you realize, how important role a restaurant plays in our lives.
In the last decade, we all have witnessed a dramatic increase in the number of restaurants opening up. Moving over just Punjabi and South Indian places, we now have Pan Asian, Italian and even Mediterranean restaurants to choose from. New age diners now want to try new cuisines and don't mind experimenting innovative dishes. Local or international, old favorite or a new fad, we just don't want to miss out on all the good food in the world.
Previously, it would have been a very basic place with a fixed number of items and the focus is on the food. Times have changed and the diners want more than just food. Splendid ambiance, impeccable service, instagrammable food presentation, lip smacking food and an unspoken promise of making sure the diners have a great time. All this needs to really justify the value for money too. And the restaurants, bars and cafes are truly trying their best to live up to these expectations.
Restaurants are like the unsung heroes in our lives.
They help us create ever-lasting memories, we celebrate our special occasions with them and make sure we have fun. And more than that, kudos to the people with a team of chefs, staff and the people who manage the restaurant who make this all work out perfectly. We might not realize while wiping clean a plate of Biryani in 10 minutes as to how much time, effort and people it takes to prepare one plate of deliciousness.
Every second person on this planet might have at least thought once to open up a restaurant considering it an easy way to quickly earn money. But it is more than that. It requires ample money, countless hours, immense patience, a strong team and most importantly, a lot of sacrifice to successfully run a restaurant. And to be honest, there is nothing like competition in this industry. Every place is unique in its own way and it's not right to compare with other places. Sometimes, it's not about beating the competition, instead it is about serving your best to the diners visiting you.
In this time of ample options available for diners to eat out, the restaurants should really not worry much and focus on the customers who revisit often and bring more people along with them. If they really like your place, you are bound to have a fandom of your own, and such loyalty is priceless.
It's never too late for the restaurants to embrace their uniqueness, celebrating the amazing job they are doing to bring joy to our lives and serve such excellent food to our table which makes us go back again to relish the experience.
